Kind Mind Supply Co. started with one feeling: home.
Every colour, every detail, every piece comes back to that. We wanted to make something familiar. Something comforting. Something that reminds you to be a little kinder to yourself.
Why Kind Mind
If you're part of the club, you know how hard your mind works. It replays the conversation. It plans for the worst case. It keeps going long after everyone else has switched off. Most of us meet that with more pressure. Stop thinking about it. Get over it. Why are you like this.
Kind Mind is the other option. It means meeting your own mind with patience instead of criticism. Noticing when it's tired. Letting it rest without making it earn the rest first. Talking to yourself the way you'd talk to someone you love.
The lavender on the front
Look closely at the logo and you'll see the laurel underneath is made of lavender. That was the first decision we made, and everything else grew from it.
Lavender is known for its calming properties. It's what people reach for when they need to settle, slow their breathing, or wind down after a long day. Being kind to your mind usually starts with a moment of calm. Not fixing anything. Not figuring it all out. Just letting your mind be quiet for a minute. The lavender is there to remind you of that.
The colours
Each colour in the collection was chosen for a feeling.
Brown: comfort and coming home. Inspired by Chicory Coffee and Downtown Brown. Things that feel familiar. The warmth of your favourite coffee shop. The comfort of something you've owned for years.
Sage: growth and grounding. Inspired by Desert Sage and Winter Moss. Nature has a way of reminding us that growth doesn't happen all at once.
Lavender: softness and light. Inspired by Dusk, and the calming presence of lavender itself.
Golden Spice: warmth. The feeling that washes over you driving past fields of golden yellow. You'll see more of this one soon.
The first piece
The Kind Mind snapback is made the same way. 100% cotton, soft from the first wear, with an unstructured shape that sits easy instead of gripping. One size with an adjustable back, so there's no sizing to worry about. One less thing to think about.
